The Alzheimer’s Association (ALZ) hosts their annual ‘Longest Day of the Year’ Summer Solstice walk event. They were in need of a solution that could help them encourage attendance, increase engagement, raise awareness, and also help them thank their supporters by showing the impact their donation made once the event concluded. With all of that in mind, ALZ contacted MobileCause for a digital solution.

A registration form was set up and reminder texts were sent to everyone on ALZ’s donor list. The messages were strategically crafted to provide information to support ALZ’s mission and impact. On the day of event, mobile marketing keywords were set up on billboards throughout the event to encourage participants to text-to-donate and allow ALZ to capture their contact information. By leveraging the text capabilities, they could quickly and easily thank those who attended and donated at the event.

The services proved to be both easy and effective as more than 15,000 text messages were sent out to ALZ’s supporters. The messages went out in 15 different markets and resulted in over 1,000 new participants opting into the event. After the event, thank you texts and email messages were sent out showing gratification and encouraging future engagement.
